Dear Residents of the Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton School District,
Welcome to our 2018 Zero-Tax Increase, Big Benefits referendum website. We hope you will seek out information here so that you can make an informed decision before you vote.
Residents in our communities have a history of supporting JWP schools because they want the option for their students to attend smaller, local schools in a more personalized setting. We thank you for your past support and come to you now to ask to renew the operating levy that was approved in 2011 so we can continue the excellent momentum that we have seen over the last seven years.
When the levy was originally approved, the district was in a challenging financial position. The levy approval helped us lower class sizes, expand educational programing options and grow our fund balance. These improvements worked. Our enrollment is growing, students are seeking out our schools, and the momentum has allowed us to be extremely competitive in our area. We are seeking to renew the referendum to allow us to continue to provide these benefits to our students, staff, and community. The best part is, the approval of this levy does not require any additional cost to voters.
Please click through this website and watch for more information about the referendum by email, direct mail, on Facebook, and in-person at meetings and presentations. Our goal is for all voters to be informed of the facts and have their questions answered. We look forward to the opportunity to connect with you and share the stories of how our district has been able to do great things because of your investment, how we would continue to do so if the referendum is approved.
You may also contact Superintendent Bill Adams directly at email@example.com or 507-234-5181 if you have any additional questions. Thank you for your past support and for helping JWP schools continue to serve our communities.
