2013-15 Technology Plan

Technology Coordinator

Technology Coordinator, Bruce Grunzke
Hello my name is Bruce Grunzke. I started working for Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton School District in July of 2012. I was very familiar with the towns that make up Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton schools before I started working here 6 years ago. I am originally from Minnesota Lake. I still reside in the Minnesota Lake zip code. I graduated in 1986 from Minnesota Lake and then spent 2 years at Waldorf College in Forest City, IA. While at Waldorf College I spent 2 years on the baseball team as well as pursuing my education.

After leaving Waldorf College I then enrolled at Mankato State University, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. During my time at MSU, I was involved in coaching basketball at couple of neighboring schools. After graduating I started working in the Maple River School District as a Technology Assistant.

Since that time I have worked at couple of area schools as a Technology assistant including 3 years at Bethany College in Mankato as the Help Desk Administrator. Upon leaving Bethany I was employed in the private sector for 7 years at MICO, Inc. in North Mankato as the Help Desk Administrator and Email administrator, till I was hired here at Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Schools as the Technology Coordinator.

I have 2 boys Connor age 16, and Caleb age 13.  I umpire baseball at the College, High School and Town team levels in the spring and summer.  I enjoy golf in my spare time, watching sporting events, and various other activities.

I have found my time with the District to be exciting and challenging at the same time.  The changes we have made, both in the technology and the overall District,  in that have been very significant and substantial.
