About Me

David Blissenbach
Greetings. My name is David Blissenbach, and I am the English teacher for such varied classes as American Literature, Communications, Contemporary Literature, Creative Writing, Research, and World Literature. I am originally from Hastings, MN, a town on the Mississippi River, not too far from the Wisconsin border. I graduated summa cum laude from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, Class of 2012. I spent my first year out of college substitute teaching in the South Metro before landing a teaching job at JWP in July of 2013. Since then, the students here have been subjected to my antics, and I have come to learn a lot.

In my spare time, I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelit dinners, gazing into the night sky, and lying about what I do in my spare time on my teacher introduction page. Please do not hesitate to contact me (dblissenbach@isd2835.org)  if you have any questions or concerns. I am proud to be a teacher for ISD 2835 and hope to have an excellent school year. Go Bulldogs!
