"If a child can't learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn..."
Welcome to the K-3 Special Education page! I am Lynnae Nelson, and I am very excited to work along side you to enhance your child's academic and personal growth.
I graduated with my Academic Behavioral Strategist licensure and degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato and continued my education at Concordia University, Saint Paul to receive my Master's degree in Specific Learning Disabilities. Prior to my position at JWP, I taught three years as a Special Education teacher working with students in Kindergarten through fifth grade. I am very excited to begin my journey as a Bulldog!
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending my time with my family and friends, and of course, my adorable puppy Rory. On any given night, you can find me either in my kitchen testing out new recipes, or on my couch watching Netflix or reading a good book. I am a big Packer fan, so on many Sunday or Monday nights during football season you may also find me screaming at my television. Go Pack Go!
I am grateful for the opportunity to continue working in a field that I am so passionate about. I look forward to working with all of the families of my students to create the best program for each of them individually. Parents and guardians, you know these children the best, and your voices and opinions are crucial for their success! Together, we can make this year one to remember. Thank you in advance for all of your dedication and hardwork.
If at any time you need to get a hold of me, please feel free to contact me.
